VOK Hot Springs are situated in the eastern capital, Egilsstadir, by Lake Urriðavatn. The facility boasts several geothermal pools at varying temperatures, all easily making it onto our recommended list of pools!
The VOK facility undoubtedly adds to Iceland’s global status in the realm of hot pools. The town of Egilsstadir, where the baths are located, is a bustling hub for travelers circling the island, and a stop at VOK is simply a must.
In the complex, you’ll find two “view” pools overlooking the lake and two hot pools on the shore. Additionally, there’s an outdoor pool bar, a local bistro restaurant, and a steam bath. In contrast to many geothermal pools in Iceland, the hot water at VOK is drinkable.

Winter

- November 1 – May 31: 16:00-22:00 on weekdays / 12:00-22:00 on weekends
Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation up to 72 hours before the activity.
- Between 72 hours and 24 hours, cancellation fees will be 50%.
- From 24 hours until the visit, cancellation fees will be 100%.
