We meet at the Gullfoss Café, where you’ll encounter our professional guides and the jeeps that will take you to the glacier. Our experienced guides will lead you on a snowmobile adventure at the mountainous level of Iceland, showcasing the breathtaking views of Langjokull Glacier and its unique surroundings.
The journey from the meeting point at Gullfoss to the glacier is an experience in itself, so be sure to enjoy the almost identical landscapes visible from the window.
It’s a vast mountainous area with towering mountain ranges, creating a spectacular sight! Once you reach the departure hut on the glacier, you’ll receive the appropriate gear for the snowmobiles.
The guides will provide safety instructions and simple directions on how to operate the snowmobiles. And off you go!
Where do we meet?
The meeting point is at the upper parking lot of Gullfoss Waterfall, outside the area where the shops and the restaurant are located. It takes about two hours to drive from Reykjavik to Gullfoss.
What’s included?
Overall, gloves, helmet, one hour of snowmobiling.
What’s required?
A valid driving license, the departure may be delayed or canceled due to weather conditions and road conditions. Two people share the same snowmobile, with an additional cost for a single rider.
The age limit is 6 years.
Dress according to the weather. In Iceland, it’s always advisable to wear warm and waterproof clothing as weather changes are sudden and unpredictable.
